Creative Director Terry Wilson and his client Adrienne Drayson were recently interviewed by Sainsbury’s Magazine on how they met and how Terry helped Adrienne through her breast cancer treatment. Before Adrienne’s treatment began Terry persuaded her to cut her long hair into a much shorter bob that would be a more manageable hair style. This hair style changed as the hair loss started but Adrienne said “Terry was so clever and sensitive. Every time I got into a panic about losing more hair, Terry would restyle my hair into something very cool and cutting-edge.” She went on to say “The great thing was that anyone who didn’t know me, would never have known in a million years that I was going through cancer treatment – I looked great!”

Adrienne received a huge round of applause for her heart felt speech and was truly a great inspiration to all. Bridgette Softley and the team from Nouveau Beauty Group were on hand to add a little glamour and pampering to this special occasion. Bridgette gave her expert advice on how to improve brow shapes with Permanent Cosmetics, as well as discussing her Medical Tattoo breast work for cancer suffers. Steve from FreshMinerals was busy creating fabulous make-overs with mineral make up and teaching everyone the finer points of putting on Blink + Go strip lashes.

"Things were a little slow to start with, but along with my experience building, comes client trust and these things take time. Building a good reputation takes time – I remember you talking about your past experiences and how you built-up your business. Well 3 years down the line and I really feel that things are taking off for me. Renew Medica ASKED to meet me last year after they saw work I had done on one of their colleagues! The 2010 Pink Ice Ball was held at The Hurlingham Club, London SW6 on Friday 8th October.

The Pink Ice Ball is a charity ball aimed at raising funds for Cancer Research UK. The event is organised by Gina Symmons who has been diagnosed with breast cancer three times since 1999. Her father, John Gerrard Keulemans, died from breast cancer two years ago.

Since 2002 Gina's energy and determination has ensured that the Pink Ice Ball is a great success in raising money and the evening is now renowned as being one of the most glamorous nights of the year. Since 2007 Gina has been assisted by her invaluable friend and colleague Lucy Hayward alongside Helen Burnop. The 2007 ball, held at The Waldorf, raised over £120,000 and was supported by a number of celebrities including Westlife, Jade Goody and Patsy Palmer. Bridgette recently visited a 'Commando Bootcamp' where professional military instructors do everything possible to ensure that you achieve your goals. Using Royal Marine Commando Physical Training Instructors - Bridgette was really pushed to her limits...and beyond! It was a fun packed, diverse and demanding programme with elements such as stretcher races, command tasks and even a night under the stars through to conventional circuits, running (on tracks and through sand dunes), boxing...the list goes on! Between the 28th and 30th October our Blink+Go technicians packed up their lashes and headed for Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield.
